I am your host, Carlos Martin, and today I am joined by Dr. Raquel Yuro. She's a functional health practitioner and she's a founder of Rockin Health where she helps people uncover the root causes behind chronic health struggles, exhaustion, inflammation and physical stress that often comes from living in constant survival mode. I have questions for you. I think you're the right person to talk to. So, Raquel, welcome to the show. [00:01:14] Speaker C: Well, thank you. I am so excited to be here. This is gonna be fun. [00:01:17] Speaker A: Yes, it is. I'm super excited because we're talking a little bit offline and NLP came up and I'm like, we gotta talk about this first of all for our audience. What in the world is nlp? [00:01:30] Speaker C: Yeah, I say NLP to a lot of my people and as soon as I say it, they like go. [00:01:35] Speaker A: Exactly. [00:01:36] Speaker C: NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic programming. And it's all about the power of how you speak and how that creates your world. So when you say certain things, it's what brings it back to you. So it can create like that boomerang effect, but it's also about like how your neural brain and the neuroplasticity and everything, how that all kind of comes out and what you're thinking creates. So it's about taking your unconscious mind. Your unconscious mind is your ghost, your goal setter, or actually go getters. So it's got your values, it's got your beliefs, it's got the things that are the inherent core of you. And then you have your conscious mind who is like your goal setter, the one who's going to be more analytical. We have to do this. We have to do this. We have to do this. And what happens in neuro linguistic programming is we want to take out that piece that's preventing them from communicating and being working together so you can actually create all the in a more powerful system when you remove that wedge and you allow the two to come together. Now you got your conscious mind and your unconscious mind. Aligning. So now you can create what you want to create in your life. So neuro linguistic programing is all about removing that wedge. Take that wedge out and allow everything come together and to work synchronistically. It is so amazing. It's amazing work. [00:02:57] Speaker A: Although you reminded me of Wim Hof, I don't know if you follow him. He's like a big, you know, breathing guru and he has this thing that he always does is like just to be aligned. And I love that. [00:03:08] Speaker C: Yeah, right. [00:03:09] Speaker A: Because that's, I feel like that's kind of what you're talking, right? To be conscious with the unconscious. So is there any connection? You know, we hear that scientifically proven, I guess, that 85 to 90% of what we do is ran by our subconscious. But what if our subconscious is something that we used to do and not necessarily things that we want to do now? So if it's being ran 85 to 90%, that means we're only, you know, conscious 10%. So tell us a little bit more how that kind of aligns with the NLP work that you do. [00:03:41] Speaker C: So. That is so very true. So 85 to 90% is all going to be your values, your beliefs, your goals, the inherent things. It's kind of like the things you do without you consciously thinking that you're doing something. So it's also the things that if you have a certain belief system and it's something that serves you, you're going to be more inclined, like you have that natural innate ability to want to go work out or brush your teeth and things like that. Right. You get those trained into your body and you get it. So it's something you do. Now on the flip side, what if you learned a behavior that doesn't serve you, or at least not serve you now where you learned it when it was supposed to serve you, maybe as a protection mechanism, right. But now it's not serving you with who you are today. But yet you're still operating from that belief, that pattern in you. So now we need to figure out, okay, well, what is that doing? And how do we shift it so that it becomes in alignment with where you want to go. So that's kind of what with nlp. It's also about unraveling, like what are these beliefs? And we call them limiting beliefs, limiting decisions that are there stopping you from achieving the life you want, or the health you want, or the career, or the relationship, or the spiritual practice or whatever it is that is actually like it's again, it's that Wedge that's stopping you. We want to pull that wedge out, open up your mind, and create the new belief system that you truly want to go by. So then you. When you connect it. So, like, there's. I think. I can't remember the exact number. I'm not very good at. Always remember the exact numbers and quotes and stuff like that. And this is sitting right in front of me. But there is, like, I think, like 90 million data bytes coming at your brain every single, like, second minute. Something like how that goes. And our brain is so insanely powerful that it either accepts it, deletes it, cancels it, distorts it, or does something with it. And so as that stuff is all coming through, and I think, like we were talking earlier about, like, I think it's a nano effect or whatever, but when it's coming through and how it gets scattered and where it goes and how the brain actually accepts or rejects that stuff is also like, what we perceive that's happening in our brain. And then we create those beliefs, those parts of us, the different things that happen, because we're perceiving how that world is coming through. It's just like if we have 10 people lined up in this room, the same event happens. They're all going to perceive it slightly differently because of their own belief system and perceptions as projections. So as it comes in, they perceive it one way. Someone might perceive it as negative. Another person might perceive it as an opportunity. And so when we are bringing all that stuff back into our brain again, we have all that stuff that's going on. So you got your conscious mind making a decision. You got your unconscious mind just absorbing it and filing it in itself. Different patterns. We remove the wedge so they can connect and talk. [00:06:36] Speaker A: Man, oh, man, I. A lot of. I'm thinking of so many things. As an executive coach, you know, I talk a lot about this. Not in the NLP kind of sense, but of also the imposter syndrome, the beliefs. So When I hear NLP or the 85% unconscious mind, I feel like a lot of people think of, okay, I'm driving on autopilot. You know, you wake up, you brush your teeth. Yeah, that's part of it. But the behaviors, that's a big one that we don't really think about. Because they're on autopilot. [00:07:14] Speaker C: Exactly. [00:07:15] Speaker A: Whether they help us or not, like you said, maybe they've been helping us for many years and we needed that. But, you know, when I work with clients, at a certain point, they're doing the same thing. But when I talk to them and say, well, maybe that had a purpose back then, but now you're going in a whole new direction, does that still apply to you? [00:07:38] Speaker C: Yes. So the way I work with people, when I'm doing work with them with the breakthroughs, and I call this breakthrough work. So I don't always refer. I tell them I'm doing like the technique of nlp. I'm doing like the technique of qtt, qth, or what I've termed qth, but quantum time healing. [00:07:55] Speaker A: Okay. [00:07:57] Speaker C: And so when I first start working with them, we always elicit their values. Because when we know and understand their values, we understand what's driving their behavior. And then we find out, okay, from those, that list of behaviors are they in a cause or effect? And what I mean by that is that causes that you are taking responsibility for your life, but you know that you're the one that's creating it, kind of. And effect means everything's happening to you. So effect means it's all happening to you and something's going bad. And da, da, da, da, like, and the other one is all like, how you are. Everything is happening for you, how you are in a cause for it. So with the values, you always want to know, where are they going? Because then from those values, you can smoke out those secondary gains as to. Okay, so I want to work out like four days a week. Okay. So what's. What's stopping you from doing that? You know what, why are you not doing that now? And then we start to find out. Okay, well, that's a value you want to elicit, but yet you have a behavior, a limiting belief, a part of you that doesn't think that's going to happen. [00:09:04] Speaker A: So there's almost like a conflict inside of your own head. [00:09:07] Speaker C: Yeah. So we got to integrate that. And that's about integrating these two brains together. Well, not two brains, but, you know, the whole part of your brain so you can actually get on one path and actually achieve those values. So when you're doing this for CEOs and other people, you want to elicit that so you can actually help them become even more powerful and more efficient and more productive in their life. [00:09:26] Speaker A: Yeah, I like. You say you start with the values because you. You get an automatic insight of who. Who they are. Or you use the word perception. [00:09:37] Speaker C: Yep. [00:09:38] Speaker A: You know, our perceptions becomes our reality. [00:09:40] Speaker C: That's right. [00:09:41] Speaker A: Yeah, exactly. Whether right or wrong, a lot of times it's not about being right or wrong. It's about how they see the world. And the filter. [00:09:49] Speaker C: Yes. [00:09:49] Speaker A: They, they, they, they see, they see their life. [00:09:52] Speaker C: Absolutely. [00:09:53] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. What do you feel that you find resistance when you bring up NLP or you start to bring up necessarily the terms, but start going, digging in. Do you feel like some people are a little bit resistant to that? [00:10:08] Speaker C: Well, a lot of times people are coming to me because they're struggling with a health issue. So most people right now, because of my career and where I'm at, I do chiropractic and the functional medicine part, they're coming to me because they have some type of a health issue. But what we find is if we don't clear the emotional patterns that are part of it because everything is either trauma, toxins, or the three T's. Thomas, My brain just went traumas, toxins, and thoughts. So the thoughts with the emotions, the traumas, whether it's big T, little T, you know, whether if it's something physical or emotional that happens to you and then you got your toxins, but they're coming to me for that. So one of the parts is the thoughts. And that is why we, I do the nlp, the emotional release. And it depends on the person, how we talk about that. So we can talk about that in the next segment. [00:11:00] Speaker A: Okay. I really, I really love that. I mean, there's so much again to, to talk about here. And again I see so much correlation between what I do and what you do. Not that I'm a chiropractor, but I love how. [00:11:13] Speaker B: We'll be right back with more insights, stories and transformative leadership conversations. Stay with us. We are back with Dr. Raquel. Let's go back to those three T's that I've been thinking about. The toxins, the trauma, the thoughts. And I'm going to be a little selfish. I'm going to talk about my toxins. Living in Austin, Texas. [00:12:07] Speaker C: Let's do it. [00:12:08] Speaker A: I feel with. Between the. I think there's six different seasons of allergies in Texas and Austin. [00:12:17] Speaker C: Heard that somewhere. I mean, I'm not from. Yeah, but I've heard that from People that I know that are living. [00:12:23] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:12:23] Speaker C: I have a friend that lives in Austin actually. [00:12:25] Speaker A: Yeah. So I'm not from. From Austin originally, so maybe that's what they're really hitting me. And I feel like these toxins are kind of. I feel sluggish. There's a little bit of inflammation, so I'm using me as a specimen. But it kind of. In general, what does that do to. To our body? And you know, so when we're talking about the. The three T's, well, when we're looking [00:12:46] Speaker C: at the toxins we got, there can be mold, there can be chemical toxins and heavy metals. So depending on what you're being exposed to and what you've already been exposed to. And you have to think about it. If, if you have like, say you have like five toxins in your body and say each toxin weighs five pounds. Well, 115 pound weight isn't a big deal. Right. [00:13:06] Speaker A: But then you say accumulate. [00:13:08] Speaker C: That's right. You stack a five pound on top of a five pound on top of a 5 pound on top of a 5 pound. Now you got £25 on there. Right. [00:13:16] Speaker A: So then body is. [00:13:18] Speaker C: Yes. And if your liver and your gut system is not able to keep up and clear in your kidneys and your lymphatic system, then all of a sudden it gets accumulated and it starts recycling through your body. So the other thing that kind of happens, especially in the mold world, is they also have like, what's called biofilms, especially even in the gut with like parasites and other bugs that I call it. But there's these biofilms, like a spacesuit around your. The bacteria around the molds. And they have their own little inner communication system. But they become so very protected. I think when we send people to outer space, they wear spaces to protect them. Well, that's the same thing that was happening in inside of us. And then what that is doing is it's creating this safety net for this thing to basically live on you. Right. And replicate itself. And now it's starting to cause and wreak havoc in your body. But now mold is really serious. I mean, it can be. It can destroy your brain. [00:14:15] Speaker A: Yikes. [00:14:16] Speaker C: Yeah. There's a lot of different toxins, I think. Aflatoxin, I don't remember the names of. They have some really funky names, let me tell you. I can't pronounce it. [00:14:22] Speaker A: Well, the mold here, it's more from the tree. So it's not from the mold. It's a. They call it mold, but it's from the tree. So that there is a lot of, you know, you see, you hear the report, like, oh, a lot of mold in the air. [00:14:35] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. [00:14:36] Speaker A: So it's from the trees, maybe because it's so damp. And that is what I feel that that's. That's affecting a lot of people. So we want to be able to look at those. Go ahead. [00:14:46] Speaker C: I'm sorry. Yeah, but that's still the same thing where there's all different kinds of mold. Molds that come into the body and they affect your body in different ways. But you can also get mold from corn. You can get mold from, like, wheat products. You can get mold from, obviously, being in a wet bathroom, being in a wet atmosphere. I heard from the dirt, the coffee. Yes. Coffee beans are huge. So that's like the biggest thing is if you're going to drink coffee, find your coffee beans that are mold free. Because when they sit, there's certain. Well, that's the hard thing. There's certain companies that say that they are mold free. And again, they only guarantee it for so long. So it comes to you, mold free, and they say you have to use it within 30 days and they can't guarantee it. [00:15:27] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:15:28] Speaker C: So it's always kind of paying attention to that kind of concept, too. I choose not to really drink coffee very frequently just because it also has the caffeine, which affects your cortisol, which then makes you in, you know, fight or flight. It doesn't allow your body to rest and digest. So I have a tendency from all my healing. I no longer have that fatigue like I used to have. And I'm able to go up and have better energy. So. [00:15:53] Speaker A: Okay. [00:15:53] Speaker C: I don't feel the need for coffee now. This morning I did. This morning I did, because I've been traveling and I got a little tired. So this morning I allowed myself to have one cup of coffee. [00:16:01] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:16:01] Speaker C: And I was just like, okay, I just need a little bit of caffeine just to wake me up and get me going for this beautiful, amazing day. But yes, I will say one thing. Being here in Texas, from being in Wisconsin, and Wisconsin has its allergies. It's starting to come into it. But when I came here, I have to actually take allergy pills because one, I'm not used to it, but it's intense. I like, last night I take an allergy. [00:16:23] Speaker A: What did you feel? What did you. How did that show? [00:16:25] Speaker C: Stuffed up, like, hard to breathe and like, even, like, filling in the chest, like, you know, almost like anxiety because you can't Breathe. And it's like it gets thick and cloggy. So, I mean, again, that's a little bit more on that allergy reflux. But, you know, I mean, I had to take those allergy pills. Now there's times when people, like, have these allergies, and the allergy pills do not work. [00:16:46] Speaker A: Yeah. And I had to go and try Zyrtec, Allegra, and the other one, Claritin, because they work differently. [00:16:53] Speaker C: Yes, they do. They do. And sometimes when, like, those allergy pills or different things don't work for you like they work for other people. There's multiple things that could be going on. One, you could have a micronutrient deficiency. So without having specific nutrients to help your body work, those pills aren't going to do anything for you. It could also be that, again, like we said, it might not be a true allergy. So it's really a mold. [00:17:19] Speaker A: So the. [00:17:19] Speaker C: So or is a chemical toxin or a heavy metal or something that's actually contributing and causing this versus just a histamine reaction. [00:17:29] Speaker A: Got it. Okay, so what's the best way to go to an allergist and get tested or they go somewhere, someone like you, to be able to look at those toxins? Toxins level? [00:17:39] Speaker C: Well, allergists aren't going to look at toxins, so they're looking at allergies. They're not looking at the toxin perspective. [00:17:45] Speaker A: Got it. [00:17:46] Speaker C: So, and again, a lot of the medical system isn't trained to do that as well. Again, comes down to pharmaceuticals. There's no, like, major drugs that people are going to take to take care of the toxins. So that's where the functional medicine part comes in. We test for that. We test for your toxins. That's one of the hidden line. The main things underneath the hidden line. Root cause of what? People have illnesses, like with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, diabetes, thyroid autoimmune disorders, is a lot of times it's the toxins that are at the root of this. [00:18:20] Speaker A: And I feel like there's toxins everywhere from, like, the little smelly things that we connect. [00:18:25] Speaker C: Yes. [00:18:26] Speaker A: Candles, like, oh, my God. [00:18:28] Speaker C: Yeah, you want to really get those clean things. So, you know, when you're reading the ingredients, a lot of them are not clean. And so that can be a little bit scary. But you can't get too freaky about [00:18:37] Speaker A: it because, you know, microplastics, and we go on. And you can't live in a bubble. [00:18:42] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:18:42] Speaker C: You know. [00:18:43] Speaker A: All right, so let's. Let's go on to the next T, which is the, the tr, not the trauma. I want to leave that one for last. The thoughts, how does that come into into play? You know, we become our thoughts as, as we hear. [00:18:55] Speaker C: So the thoughts, like if you're thinking things that aren' beneficial for your body, you're going to hold that in your body. And again, like we were talking earlier with the nlp, the neuro linguistic programming. If we're not, if we're framing and talking bad about ourselves, which you know what, most people sit around and talk really bad about themselves, don't they? And it's like if we had our best friend sitting here and we told them, hey, you're like ugly and you're not smart and you're not da da da, da. Our best friend would probably slap us in. [00:19:20] Speaker A: We wouldn't have any friends if you would have talked to your friends the way we do to ourselves. [00:19:25] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. So why do we talk to ourselves that way? That's one of the things. It's the thoughts, but it's a lot of the negative thoughts. So then it's about, well, what are you thinking? What are you doing to change and shift your thinking? And you can do that by just reframing, learning like language learning. If you're in cause or effect, are you allowing things to happen in your life or are you closing yourself off? Sometimes when you're thinking, I want this, I want this, I want this. In your brain they're thinking lack. And so your brain's going, well, you want this, but you really believe in the lack so you're not going to get it. So then people are like, well I'm trying to manifest this or I'm trying to achieve this in my life. But when you're constantly saying I want or I need this, the universe guys sees that as a lack of something. And so you, when you shift your thought process and you actually learn to say I love myself, I love the people around me, I'm going to choose to be open, to allow this to come into my life. And I'm allowing whatever is in the right frequency for me is going to come or in the highest good of all, then you can allow that to come in. And so then your thoughts can start to shift. So when you're thinking lack, you're going to get more lack. When you start thinking abundance, you get more abundance. [00:20:45] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean I talk a lot about that and I feel like society is, is kind of grabbing onto that, but I feel like people are still not. It's easy to Say I'm gonna go from a place to abundant, from a place from lack. But it's a lot easier said than done, you know? So how do you. How do you encourage someone to really make that, make that shift? [00:21:06] Speaker C: That's where I do a lot of [00:21:07] Speaker A: the breakthroughs for the magic happens. [00:21:10] Speaker C: Yes. Yes. Because that is a lot of a big, major breakthrough. Because you want to elicit their values. You want find out why they believe and think the way they are, or if there's some traumas that are involved. Big T, little T. Is there some toxins that are involved? Because even toxins will make your brain sink in a different way, and you need to clear that pathway and help people. But when you start to elicit their values and you find out what actually makes them tick or why they're getting stuck in a certain way, then you can help them move forward with their life. Because now you're going to find out what. What do they actually need, and you find out why they're stuck. And then once you help them uncover why they're stuck and find the learnings, they're able to move forward and create new patterns. Because then you want. Okay, well, now that you've shifted, it's easier to find new thought patterns that work and achieve what you want. So then you can actually have that. [00:22:04] Speaker A: I love that. And then as we start to wrap up, let's talk a little bit about the last T, which is. Which is the trauma. [00:22:10] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:22:12] Speaker A: How does that come into play? Are we talking about child molestation, type of big trauma? You said the big T. There's all kinds of dramas. [00:22:21] Speaker C: So there's big T, little T. I mean, big T can be like a major car accident. It can be, again, like the loss of a loved one. It can be like being abused by someone or, you know, whatever way that could be. Little T's can be still, like somebody said something negative to you. So think about kids on the playground, and they can be really mean to each other and someone just does something to you, you know, and you're like, what? And then you start to believe it. That's that little teen in there. You created that belief pattern and you agreed with them. [00:22:58] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:22:58] Speaker C: With that. And you allow that negativity to come into you, even though it was really true. Really. Probably not about you, but it might have been about them and what they were perceiving and they were just being mean. They're just. I mean, they're just kids. And for some reason, kids can be really mean. And I don't know Why? [00:23:14] Speaker A: I know I was, I was one of those kids. [00:23:15] Speaker C: You're a mean kid or you were a nice kid. [00:23:17] Speaker A: I think I was. I had my mean kids streak when I was young and then I got a little nicer and they like to say I'm nice again. [00:23:25] Speaker C: Anyway, I'm glad you're nice again. [00:23:27] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:23:27] Speaker C: This is a more better idea to be at. [00:23:30] Speaker A: I know. I like it too. Thank you so much. And I love talking about this three T's. We're going to dive in a little bit more on those three T's. Onto our next segment. Don't go anywhere on Leadership Evolving. [00:23:40] Speaker B: We'll be right back with more insights, stories and transformative leadership conversations. Stay with us. Leadership Today evolving tomorrow. I'm Carlos Martin and this is Leadership Evolving on NOW Media to all television. Let's continue the journey. And we are back. Leadership Today evolving tomorrow. All right. [00:24:01] Speaker A: And we're back with leadership evolving with Dr. Raquel. Before we start diving deeper into the three T's, where can people find you? Where can they find your work? [00:24:09] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. So you can follow me. I have a website. It's rockinhealth.com and now that's rockin r o c k y n health dot com. And that's because my nickname is Rocky from my grandpa. So. And then my maiden name was Neve. So I always had rockin on my license plate. And then I just decided I'm like, you know what? We're rocking health. [00:24:30] Speaker A: I like that. [00:24:31] Speaker C: I always do, like high fives. Rock on. Whenever I get done adjusting people, that's their favorite thing. And they know as soon as they're done being adjusted, we do a high five. And yeah, yeah. It's like if I don't do that, people are waiting there for me. Like, come on, where's my high five? We have to do it all the time. [00:24:44] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:24:45] Speaker C: And then you can find me on Facebook. And I have served. I have my personal page. I have my business pages, Rock and Health, Dr. Raquel plus Whole Life Chiropractic. I also have LinkedIn X, the old Twitter, whatever. And then we have Instagram. Yeah. I'm learning to get on social media. I'm becoming social friendly. [00:25:08] Speaker A: Social friendly. [00:25:09] Speaker C: Social friendly. Yeah. That's a new concept, right? [00:25:11] Speaker A: Yeah, it is. Well, go, go find her on her social friendly gatherings there. All right, so I want to go back to the, the, the T's, the three T's. I think we brought some good awareness to the T's and what they are. And I wanted to, to work A little bit more on the T's and see how we can move past them, through them, healing, whatever that might be, whatever tools or practices. So I want to start again with one of the teas, the toxins. What can we do? Or what do you. What practice do you have to purchase, purge or to get rid of, to release? What does that look like? [00:25:50] Speaker C: Well, there's many things you can do to get rid of toxins in your body. So one, like I'm gonna probably name out and how many right now, but one, there's always chiropractic. So when I went to chiropractic school. [00:26:01] Speaker A: Chiropractic? [00:26:02] Speaker C: Yes. [00:26:02] Speaker A: How does chiropractic release the. [00:26:04] Speaker C: I want to get into that. [00:26:05] Speaker A: Okay. I like it. I'm intrigued. [00:26:07] Speaker C: So chiropractic it is. Its founding philosophy is that we're going to treat the thought strumas and taxes, the three T's that creates disorder in the body. And so when you get adjusted, what's happening is you're allowing the brain to start communicating with every single organ in your body. But then when it does that, every time you get adjusted, it helps you detoxify. So it's helping your body remove that. So now you're opening up the pathways that allow your body to remove those toxins. So that's one way. The other way is obviously, is we have to keep opening up that pathway. So some people are pretty stuck. And yes, the adjustments are perfect. So if you don't have a chiropractor, get out there, find a chiropractor near you and start getting your body adjusted. The second one is you really need to, like, if you go and wash your dishes and if you wash it just in water, yeah, things are going to kind of get clean, but it might not be really disinfected or really, really clean. Right. So you need soap. Soap to clean things. Right. [00:27:01] Speaker A: How about that? [00:27:04] Speaker C: So that's what supplements come in. So if, say you go and you can find other supplements out there now, not all supplements are created equal. So I always say go find like a regular functional health practitioner or chiropractor or somebody who does natural type health, because they're going to have quality products. Because the stuff that you can get off this, the regular shelf, I mean, I won't even put that stuff in my body. I'm like, I'm not putting. There's toxins in it that you're putting [00:27:28] Speaker A: in your body that you're trying to get rid of. Toxins. Putting some more in. [00:27:32] Speaker C: Exactly. So you want to take Quality products that are going to help your body decrease those toxins. You got to help the liver, you got to help the gut, you got to help your kidneys, you got to help your skin. So skin brushing is excellent. That's one thing I always suggest. So before you take a shower, just on Amazon for like $12 or whatever, you can get a skin brush, brush your skin. I mean, your skin is your largest organ. Just start doing that. You're going to start to see your skin radiate and be beautiful and clean and it'll make you feel amazing just doing that. So before you get in the shower, just skin brush and let's see what else can we do? So there's always teas. So again, yes, teas, like dandelion root tea is a great tea. Dandelion root is one of the strongest detoxifiers there is. [00:28:15] Speaker A: Really. [00:28:16] Speaker C: You know what we do? We run around with pesticide killer to kill them and kill. [00:28:21] Speaker A: That's. [00:28:21] Speaker C: And they're not the easiest thing to kill because there's such an insane detoxifier. So don't just go any dandelion off the thing because if they've been. [00:28:29] Speaker A: Please do not do that. Yes. [00:28:31] Speaker C: Because if they've been sprayed with pests, pesticides, you don't want that. Now if you know your dandelions are clean and free, feel free to dig them up and dry them and make them into a tea. Dandelion root, dandelion leaf, like that. Otherwise you can just go to a nice health food store, find clean organic dandelion root tea. That's a great start drinking that tea. That's going to be huge. You can also. There's. I know there's a lot like saunas, you know, sweating. Sweating is huge for releasing toxins. So do some sauna therapy, see what else is there. [00:29:03] Speaker A: What about that hot and cold thing? [00:29:06] Speaker C: Really good for the body. That's working on a slightly different perspective. Not necessarily the toxin level. I would say that's more working on like your brain, the cortisol, calming the body down, calming inflammation down. So when you do that, when you do cold therapy and then you go into heat. So cold therapy is amazing. Cold plunging is amazing. That is absolutely amazing. I remember the first time I did it, I was like, there's no way. I hate cold. I'm not doing a cold plunge. But part of my breakthrough, what I went through, my own breakthrough, was learning to get into a cold plunge. So I got in my tank and I got pictures of it. But I'm in my tank and you sit back and you're relaxing, but somebody I had walking me through it, like helping you, like, guide you through it, and I thought, okay, well, I'm just going to do this for a minute. I did it for five minutes. [00:29:51] Speaker A: Wow. [00:29:52] Speaker C: Yeah. And I got. And it was like, you learn to just like breathe and really breathe into it and allow your body to relax and just kind of go with it. And you're like, holy cow. This was, was, it was exhilarating. It was just exhilarating. Then afterwards you get out and we went into a sauna. So then you got your body to heat back up. Red light therapy is a great. Another tool. But yeah, so much of those sweat, steam place, you know, things that are going to make your body sweat, that's all helping the liver, making sure your bowels are moving correctly. So if you're constipated, you're just recycling all those toxins. You got to get your bubbles moving. [00:30:25] Speaker A: So that's why, like exercise is so key. Yes. [00:30:28] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:30:28] Speaker A: Especially now. Yes, especially now. In the world that we sit in our butt often. Right through zoom. [00:30:36] Speaker C: Yes. [00:30:36] Speaker A: You know, you know, so many people working from home, at least before we used to at least walk and go out. And now like we go from bed to the office and once we're done, we go eat, sit down, back to bed. Where's the movement? And that's. So that in itself. [00:30:52] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:30:52] Speaker A: Probably causes a lot of just stagnation. [00:30:55] Speaker C: Yeah. Movement is so key because if your body's not in movement, it's going to stay in stagnation, just like you said. So by getting out and moving, that moves your lymphatic system, which allows your body to release those toxins and to move the flow of your body. But it's, it's also good because it helps release hormones, it helps release the extra fat in your body. It helps you feel better. It's a stress relief. So I mean it, exercise in general, getting out, walking, yoga, Pilates, running, swimming, all of that is this good. There's so many dancing. Whatever it is that you put your body in motion is huge. [00:31:31] Speaker A: So I think just be between changing your health, your diet, exercising, maybe some supplements and doing a little bit of, like you said, maybe like the sauna and all that, all things are probably going to add up, probably have those compounding interest and start feeling, feeling a little bit better. [00:31:47] Speaker C: And the other thing would be, you know, you got to shift the diet a little bit because if you're eating the things that are putting the toxic toxins back in Your body. [00:31:53] Speaker A: Then. [00:31:54] Speaker C: Then it's this. [00:31:54] Speaker A: It's like the vicious cycle, right? [00:31:56] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. You got to clean up some other things. Sometimes you have to look at your environment and have somebody who deals with mold and toxicities come into your home and help you reshift that too. [00:32:05] Speaker A: Wow. [00:32:05] Speaker C: And clean it out. Yeah, yeah. And sometimes you have to leave your environment. There's some people that have so intense mold in their home, or they're so sensitive. So some people are more sensitive than others. And so they actually have to leave their home. [00:32:20] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:32:21] Speaker C: Just because it. They're just. They just have to leave. And they have to leave everything. Because if you bring your furniture, your clothing with you, everything, you just. You bring in that mold with you. So you have to leave everything. [00:32:30] Speaker A: Jikes. Yeah. [00:32:31] Speaker C: And that's a trauma right there. Like having to realize you have to leave everything behind. [00:32:34] Speaker A: Yeah. Oh, my God. [00:32:36] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:32:36] Speaker A: I can't even fathom. [00:32:37] Speaker C: I can't either. I've known people that are. Not personally, but I've read of people that have had to do that, and they have to actually burn their house down and stuff. [00:32:43] Speaker A: Yikes. [00:32:44] Speaker C: Yeah. But it's just like, oh, my God. It's like. That's just. I feel for those people. I feel for them. And like, that is this. That's hard. But they also are choosing themselves. They're choosing health, they're choosing life. And because they're making that choice, they're doing that. [00:33:00] Speaker A: So let's go into the other T, which is the thoughts. You know, if we use the same concept of tools or. Or purging or changing to modify what is thing that we can. What is one thing that we can do something that you work with, with your clients to be able to flip the switch. Flip the switch, if you will. [00:33:22] Speaker C: Yeah. So when you're first starting, I would suggest you got to change your. Your thoughts and how you talk to yourself. You got to start becoming aware of what you're saying to yourself. Because the first thing is you might just grab a journal and every time you start saying things, write down what you're saying to yourself. What are you thinking? What are so. Because if you're not becoming aware of it, you're not going to know what you need to change. Once you become aware of it, you're going to be like, okay. And then you can figure out a way to reframe that. And guess what? If you don't know how to do that or if it's still stuck and you have these patterns that are so stuck in you Find a coach that knows, like, the NLP or the qtt and like, I do the breakthrough work and find someone to help you break through and remove that or even just help you break through it so you become your empowered self just to get to the other side. Sometimes you just start to reframe and you start thinking and saying things differently. Even just like, you know what? I am learning new things. It is okay for me to learn new things. [00:34:28] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:34:28] Speaker C: And I'm going to be excited about all these new changes. I'm going to learn, and it's going to come along, and I'm just going to take the next right step at the next point. [00:34:36] Speaker A: Yeah. I really like that. You know, just, again, just changing our words, our perception. And like you said, we live in our own head for such a long time that it becomes part of our personality. You know, you said something really important to write it down. Because sometimes we think we know it, but it's just. If it's running, if it's our subconscious that's running it, do we really know it? It's kind of like autopilot. Right. Instead of like, well, let me bring awareness, let me write it down. And that may be a little bit easier to process it, to understand. [00:35:09] Speaker C: Yes. [00:35:09] Speaker A: Or to maybe even. Even modify it. [00:35:12] Speaker C: Absolutely. Yeah. [00:35:13] Speaker A: No, I like that. Anything else that they can do for the. [00:35:17] Speaker C: For the thoughts. Meditation. [00:35:19] Speaker A: The meditation. I like that. [00:35:20] Speaker C: Yeah. That's a great thing. Is this. Like, there's so many different meditation apps out there, but even just learning to breathe. Okay. Just take like five minutes. You can put relaxing music on if you want, but just literally just breathe. I have actually, on my own podcast, have breathwork at Breathwork Sundays. So you can just go on and take 10 minutes and just listen to it, but basically just taking a nice deep breath in through your nose for four seconds, hold it for four, and then exhale through your mouth out for four, and then hold. It's box breathing. It's actually what, like the marine system do to actually calm their system down when they're in a state of stress. So if you really want to start calming your body down fast, just do some box breathing. Let your shoulders just drop, let your body drop as you breathe, and just. Just allow life into you to say, you know, like, I had a friend, it was. We would be studying at school, and she's like, okay, we're going to breathe, and it's going to be. We're going to take a deep breath in. And that means we're bringing in positivity. And when we exhale, we're going to Release all the OCDs. It was just like so many. [00:36:21] Speaker A: I like that. [00:36:23] Speaker C: Yeah. So it's like breathing in positivity and releasing my ocds. [00:36:26] Speaker A: I like it. You heard it here from Dr. Raquel. There's so many things that you can do, the three T's and really two, you start going and dive a little bit deeper. We'll be right back with more of Dr. Raquel here at Leadership Evolving. We are back with Dr. Raquel. I want to go back to those three T's and I want to go back to the thoughts. And we were just talking a little bit offline here about the, the energy, the frequencies, if you will, within the words that we use tell us a little bit more of the scale and the power that negative words have as well as the, the positive high energy words have in our bodies. [00:37:48] Speaker C: Yes. So I know there's certain techniques that know much more about the actual energy frequency of the words. And so I remember because that was being coached by one and he would say that the lowest frequency feeling you can feel is shame. And that is the lowest feeling. And you definitely do not want to be in shame. So what we want to do is like, and I love, I don't know if anybody knows, but I love Esther and Jerry Hicks with Abraham Hicks. [00:38:15] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. [00:38:16] Speaker C: And so they have these 22 emotion codes. And so what they do is they help you go from just one to the next. So you're not jumping from like, say, shame or fear or anger or dispute, despair all the way up to joy. You go through it a little bit at a time. So one way, they have tons of ways you can get their books or whatever, but they have amazing ways that you can shift your energy pretty quickly. And one of them is just the rampage of Appreciation. These are games that you get to play. So the Rampage of Appreciation is this all about thinking about everything that you're grateful for and Appreciative for. So grateful. Being grateful is one of the most effective ways of shifting your energy. It is one of the fastest ways to get you from being unhappy or in despair or angry or anything, even in health completely shifts you. So if you can just learn to be grateful that, well, hey, I'm thankful I have a ceiling over my head. I'm thankful I have lights. I'm thankful I have food to eat. I'm thankful I have a chair. I'm thankful I get to breathe. I'm thankful I get. I can see. And you just start listing these things that you're grateful for. That's going to start to shift you, and you're going to start to feel that energy. You're going to start looking for things. So when my son was little and he would sometimes have some issues with, you know, as we were talking earlier about bullies, and so he had a few issues, and I would be like, okay, well, let's. And so every night, what I would have him do is I'd be like, okay, what we're going to do is we're going to find five of the best things that happened to you. And so he would start listening. I'm like, now, what's the one best thing that ever happened to you? And so the first time he had to do it, the first day, he was a little like, well, I don't know, you know, and he would just come up with a couple little things. But he was struggling. But as we kept doing it, he would find more and more and more because now he was training his brain to look for everything that was good in his life, and that made a huge difference. He would start to go to bed because we'd always do this right before bed. So now he would go to bed in a mode of gratefulness and thankfulness versus going to bed where he's angry or frustrated or scared. So even for adults, even for me, there's many times right before I go to bed, I do that. I just think about everything, all the amazing things that happened in the day, and I just allow that to come in. And I'm like, okay, well, now, thank you, universe. Thank you, God, for everything today. And then I'm able to go to sleep, and it's like, you go to sleep thinking of the grateful things, and then when you wake up and you can be right back into that mode. And so that will completely shift your energy, and that helps increase your vibration that's going to bring you up. There's a lot of other things you can do to, to increase your vibration. But that is one of the fastest ways. Just be grateful. Find the things, write them down or just think them out loud or, you know, do that. [00:41:07] Speaker A: So what if. If someone is a bit resistant to that, to say, okay, I'm grateful and then I'm going to heal myself and yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, so how do we begin to kind of shift that perspective or someone's perspective? You know, for example, the placebo effect when we start thinking right? It's like, okay, it's signed. I don't know if it's scientifically proven right, but it's proven to say, go to the doctor. They give you this pill. Like, oh my God, I feel so much better. The power of maybe gratitude or feeling better. Positivity, though it's a sugar pill. So how do you, like, begin to, you know, shift somebody's way of thinking around just a simple gratitude that's going to shift our frequency or our energy, our thought process. Someone that is just so reluctant against that. [00:41:58] Speaker C: Yeah, totally get it. There's. There's some people that just like to live in negativity world, right? [00:42:02] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, I know too many of those. [00:42:04] Speaker C: But one thing I remember, and I can't quote anything in specific, but I remember reading or hearing somewhere that they could actually see underneath a microscope. When you're, when you were talking like positive around, like the cells, the cells would actually vibrate at a different level compared to when you would talk negative around and how the cells would vibrate. So it's the same thing. Even if you can find that one thing to make you think better or feel better, you're going to vibrate at a different level. Now, some people, even if they are, you know, the negative nellies or, you know, just the old grumpy man, you know, irregardless, they have to make the choice. You can't force somebody to do anything. They have to make that choice. They have to choose something. They have to have a why that's strong enough to make them want to make a decision, to make a choice and choose something differently. They always have freedom of choice with it, whether they do it or not. So I'm not going to force anybody to have to think one way or another. If they're in such a state, like, it will be very hard for someone to say, somebody who just lost someone they love, it's going to be hard for them to kind of bring their energy up. But if they can just find anything, even whether if it's something they're grateful for or, you know, something they can maybe think of a good memory of that person. [00:43:24] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:43:25] Speaker C: You know, sometimes it's just, you know, finding something in your life that you're appreciative for. And there's so many, so many stories, powerful stories of people shifting their entire life just by learning to be grateful. But, I mean, that's just one tool. Yeah, that's just one tool. And just realizing to trust the universe, that you can have the universe at your back, that God's got your back. [00:43:46] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:43:46] Speaker C: And not everybody believes that right away. You have to practice that to actually truly understand that and believe it. So I would say for those who are very reluctant to want to change, then don't. But then don't expect anything else in your world to change, because if you're wanting this over here, but you're over here and you're not willing to even step one foot forward, just know and understand why you don't have this. [00:44:14] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. That's a good perspective. So one way that I do, you know, say once in a while, sometimes I just wake up blue. Let's say, for example, you know, back [00:44:23] Speaker C: to bed and wake up on the other side. [00:44:25] Speaker A: Yeah, there you go. So what I do is I was kind of looking at the scale that you were talking about, and then I start to go, you know, look at the bottom. See, you know, and it's usually not. I think you said shame or grief or. [00:44:37] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't remember their exact. [00:44:38] Speaker A: So, okay. I'm usually not that low. But then sometimes I could be, you know, I. For, you know, maybe I'm a little discouraged where I would maybe because I'm tired and, you know, or just something didn't go well or I didn't get that one client that I thought I was going to, you know, bring in. And. And I noticed that affects my energy. So what I start to do, like you said, you want to. You don't want to make that jump from, you know, from that all the way to, like, love or gratitude. But I noticed when I start. Okay, I'm not going to go to Joe just yet, but I'm going to go into gratitude. [00:45:15] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:45:15] Speaker A: And I'm starting to be. [00:45:17] Speaker C: Or just one thought better than the last. [00:45:18] Speaker A: Yeah. Just to bring awareness to the gratitude of where I am. And then I. I literally begin to shift my energy, starts to feel better, and eventually I end up enjoy. So I've gotten to have that practice for myself because there's days that I wake up like, oh, my God, I'm going to Conquer the world. And there's days like, I don't want to get up. I don't want to do this anymore. Right. [00:45:42] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:45:42] Speaker A: And sluggish. [00:45:44] Speaker C: Yeah, There's. So I have a couple ideas on for when you wake up. That way, one is just about finding that one thought that's better than the last. Just knowing, hey, I'm here, I'm awake, and I'm gonna figure this out. I know I can figure this out because I've done it in the past. Right. But then the other part of it is that find something that you love. So maybe you think of, like, maybe you have an animal or a child or somebody that you really, truly care. When you think of that memory and it brings a smile to your face. Right. There's you shifting your energy. [00:46:18] Speaker A: Okay. [00:46:19] Speaker C: That's a shift right there. [00:46:21] Speaker A: That was not gonna work because no pets, no kids. So I don't know what I'm gonna do. [00:46:27] Speaker C: A special place you like to go. Do you have a great. [00:46:29] Speaker A: Like, fly fishing in. And perfect. In Montana with my waiters on. And I could picture myself inside the water and a bald eagle crossing across the. Because that's happened to me so many times. So when I'm ever feeling like that, I go to that space, to that place. [00:46:46] Speaker C: It's like. [00:46:47] Speaker A: Makes me feel. [00:46:48] Speaker C: Yeah. So then what we're gonna do, we're gonna do a little NLP with us. You want to play? [00:46:53] Speaker A: I don't know if we have enough time for that, but let's. Let's give it a. Let's give it a shot. Okay. [00:46:58] Speaker C: But we can do it in two minutes. I want you to do is I want you to make a fist and put your finger like this. All right? Got it? Now what we're going to do is we're just going to let it go. And what I want you to think of is as you're thinking of that story and how you feel amazing with it as it gets to the peak. Kind of like when you have your annoying orgasm. That peak. Right. [00:47:17] Speaker A: We're going to be doing this live with everyone here. [00:47:20] Speaker C: Yeah. So think of this thing that you're doing, and when you get to that peak and you feel it, grab your finger and squeeze. And feel that amazing feeling that you have when you're fly fishing, when you see that eagle soaring over and you feel that amazing feeling, and I want you to anchor it in. As soon as it releases, release your hand, and then that's an anchor. So now every time you do this, I like that it's going to. So, like, if you're anywhere, then all you do is you grab your fist, [00:47:45] Speaker A: you start to correlate the that feeling. [00:47:48] Speaker C: And when you feel that you need that courage or anything like that, you just squeeze and put your fist like this. And then all of a sudden, you can feel that again. There's one. If I touch, I'm going to start giggling now. Okay, I can't do that. But see, we were learning. We learned how to do different anchors with different things. And so me and my friend who I'm actually interviewing tomorrow, we were doing it. We were doing laughter and fun, and we were triggering that in. And like, literally we can just look at each other, touch our finger, and we were laughing so hard. And now to this day, if I need to, like, laugh almost, like, instantaneously, so hard to get into an instant happiness, I just have to hit my little pinky finger. [00:48:22] Speaker A: So it's like a positive trigger, a positive anchor. Yes, thank you. [00:48:27] Speaker C: Yes. It's anchoring you to a positive feeling. And so when you do this, this is your strength, this is your power. I mean, you can do different ways, but you want to do something that you don't normally always do. So that's why you do so, you [00:48:37] Speaker A: know, which is, I like that when I get home, I'm going to spare you and everybody here of me going through the process, especially the way that she described it. [00:48:45] Speaker C: It really only takes you a matter of two seconds, but. [00:48:47] Speaker A: Yes, well, I think she knows me a little too well, but that's a different story. Anyway, thank you so much for being here, Dr. Raquel. We talked about so many things. The three T's, NLP, indigenous in deeper and awareness. And I love having these type of guests in our show.
